Why it's only $3.99 a month to be a part of the Cut Your Heart Community
I intentionally made the Cut Your Heart Community only $3.99 a month because I want this community to be accessible to as many believers as possible. My desire is to build a place where we can grow in Christ together, encourage one another, have honest conversations about our hearts, and help one another continue in the faith. I don't want finances to be the reason someone who genuinely desires that kind of fellowship feels like they can't be a part of it.
At the same time, this community requires real work, time, resources, and consistency to maintain. I don't personally desire an extravagant lifestyle, but I do have a family to provide for and a responsibility to make a living. My hope is that Cut Your Heart can do both: spiritually benefit the Body of Christ while also providing an honest source of income that allows me to continue putting my time into this work and caring for my family.
The goal isn't to charge as much as people are willing to pay. It's to keep the cost low enough that many people can comfortably participate while still creating something sustainable enough for me to continue serving them well.
What inspired the creation of
Cut Your Heart?
Cut Your Heart was created out of a growing concern that many believers today have become focused on gaining biblical knowledge without allowing Scripture to deeply examine our own hearts.
It is possible to know the Bible well, keep certain commandments, and sincerely believe we are walking faithfully, while overlooking the hidden attitudes and motives that God also calls us to confront. Pride, unforgiveness, hypocrisy, fear, idolatry, selfish ambition, and many other issues of the heart may not always be obvious to others, but they can still cause tremendous harm to ourselves and those around us.
As human beings, we often hurt others, or allow harm to continue, not simply because we lack knowledge, but because we haven't fully brought every bit of our hearts before the Lord with honesty, humility, and a willingness to be transformed by His Word.
The hope behind Cut Your Heart is to encourage believers to go beyond simply knowing God's Word and toward faithfully applying it to our own hearts. Through biblical discussion, self-examination, fellowship, and Scripture, the prayer is that more believers will invite the Lord to reveal what's hidden within us, overcome it with His Word, and grow into the likeness of Christ.
