Coming Out of that Slump
Hope everyone is doing well.
I just came out of what I can best describe as a “spiritual slump.” Honestly, it felt impossible to come out of it. I felt low, lost, and unsure of what to do next.
But I realized two things. The first being that I didn’t necessarily need to know the next step. I just needed to get back to what I’m purposed to do. The second being that, as a follower of Christ, I quite literally can't produce any good thing without Him. In my own strength, just anxiety, fear of the future, and sin upon sin.
Sometimes all of it really is as simple as praying again. Reading your Bible again. Sitting in silence again. Seeking the Lord again.
And as I got back into His Word, the clarity started to come back, and the anxiety and fleshy desires that follow unhealthy stress started to go away.
So if you’re in that same place right now of feeling spiritually low, lost, disconnected, or unsure of where to go next, I hope this encourages you:
You don’t have to figure everything out in a moment. This won't happen anyway. Just get back in the Word. Keep seeking God. Keep praying. Clarity will come back. Stay spiritually connected 🤍
"Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing." -John 15:4-5
